Meet Shivali – lawyer by day, watercolour artist by night.

Shivali moved to Singapore after her marriage where she encountered difficulties in securing a job. She started painting in 2018 after her husband encouraged her to reignite her love for painting as a means to cheer her up. She never stopped painting ever since. It’s now a side job of hers, but painting always brings her joy.

A lot of her work inspiration comes from nature and what is around her. Her initial focus was on sketching and shading, but after she saw a magical balcony view of the sunrise and sunset, she started her journey of painting skies. She also gradually shifted her focus to watercolour and ink art.
